How we sell.
Most agencies hide their playbook. We're publishing ours so you can decide whether you're being manipulated when you call us.
1. What we don't do
- · No discovery calls disguised as "free audits" that are 80% sales pitch.
- · No 60-minute "strategy sessions" that exist to wear you down.
- · No urgency tactics. There is no "price goes up tomorrow".
- · No commission-based account managers. The person you talk to is the person who builds it.
- · No 6 / 12 / 24-month contracts. Monthly cancel anytime.
- · No "custom proposals" that exist to anchor you to a high number.
- · No bait-and-switch pricing — the price you see is the price you pay.
2. What we do instead
- · Public pricing at /pricing. The full SKU catalog with monthly + setup + annual prices, no "contact us" tier.
- · Live demo without signup at /demo/sandbox. Click through a real dashboard before any conversation.
- · ROI calculator at /roi-calculator. Plug in your numbers and decide for yourself.
- · Honest comparison at /compare. Where we lose to DIY, where we lose to agencies, where we win.
- · 15-min demo call at /demo. We respect your time. Most end early because you've made up your mind.
- · 30-day money-back on your first paid month. See /refund-policy.
3. How agencies are different
The typical local marketing agency selling to a dojo:
- · Calls you out of the blue with a "free audit".
- · Books a 60-minute call where 20 minutes are your problem, 40 are their pitch.
- · Sends a $4-8K "website rebuild" quote and a $1,200-2,500/mo "management" retainer.
- · Locks you into 6-12 month minimums.
- · Hands you off to an account manager who's never built a website.
- · Reports vanity metrics (impressions, CTR) instead of dollars spent → members signed up.
That model exists because it works at scale: 50 sales calls × 20% close × $2K/mo × 12 months = $240K. But you the dojo owner pay for the entire funnel, not just the work.
4. Why we can sell this way
- · The platform is 90% self-serve. No human needs to copy your content into a CMS — Claude does it.
- · Founder is solo, no commission-only sales team to pay.
- · We make money when you stick around, not when you sign. Monthly cancel-anytime is the only model that aligns those incentives.
- · Our cheapest tier ($98/mo) was built first, paid features were added later. We sell the floor, not the ceiling.
5. When to NOT sign up
- · You want a hands-off "account manager" relationship — we don't do that.
- · You want 24/7 phone support. We're business-hours-only.
- · You need SOC 2 / HIPAA today. We'll be SOC 2 attested in Q2 2027.
- · You're already paying an agency $400/mo and getting results. Don't change what's working.
- · You're a brand-new dojo with zero programs. Get to 30 members first, then come back.
6. If you're comparing us
Try this experiment before you sign with any vendor (us or anyone else):
- Ask them to send you their public pricing page URL. (We have one.)
- Ask them to email you their refund policy in writing. (Ours is at /refund-policy.)
- Ask to talk to two current customers in your vertical. Not testimonials — names + phone numbers.
- Ask what happens to your domain, leads, and ad accounts if you cancel. (Ours: you keep all of it.)
- Ask for a written SLA. (Ours is at /sla.)
If you can't get clean answers to all five, walk.
